Our amazing bird cages are made exclusively in the seaside town of Sidi Bou Said on Tunisia's northeastern coast. They are skillfully and intricately made by hand. Traditionally, they are painted white with sky blue trim, as these are the signature colors of the city. The homes and buildings are whitewashed and the doors and window frames are painted blue with black trim. During the Inquisition in the 15th Century, much of the Jews and Arabs living in Spain came to Tunisia.
